Printmakers Charm

This charm was hand carved from wax using my printmaking tools. It shows the gouge marks that a printmaker makes when carving a woodblock or a relief block. The wax is then used in the lost wax casting method. Cast in solid 14k yellow gold, this charm is perfect for layering or adding with other gemstones/charms.

Printmakers Charm comes with a 16 inch 14k Vermeil chain
Vermeil is sterling silver plated in 14k gold.
Chain made in Italy.

A technique originating in the 19th century. Vermeil is considered the best 14k gold alternative because it has a base of sterling silver and is plated with a thicker coating of gold than gold plated brass or copper.
